This is the most scenic trail run you will ever see.  Going back to 1985, it is one of the Sea2Sky’s longest running events.  Runners have been using this run as an annual rite of passage to finish off the season.  We have seen sun, rain, snow and even a little hail but that has never stopped us.  Dusty trails, big mud puddles and even the occasional knee-deep river crossing, this run has seen different conditions every year.

The race starts at the Cheakamus Lake Trail parking lot with a grueling 1338m climb up the Helm Lake Trail.  Proceed though the Cinder Flats with epic views of Black Tusk.  From there, runners make their way through the beautiful Taylor Meadows before beginning their knee-jarring 1592m decent to the Garibaldi Lake Trail parking lot.

BC Parks is gracious enough to let us host this event in one of the most beautiful provincial parks: Garibaldi Park.  To keep our environmental impact down, this event is limited to 80 runners.  There are no race trail markers, just BC Parks trail signs which means runners have to keep an eye out for these signs to avoid any detours.  There are no aid stations along the trail so runners need to pack in whatever they need (water, food, extra layer if needed) and pack everything back out.  There will be a person or two running sweep with first aid and extra supplies should anyone run into trouble.  There is also no shuttle service between the start and finish so please car pool.
