Alright, we admit, we’re a bit infatuated with DPS here at NN, but for good reason: the skis ride well, are strong, light and versatile. Several years ago I picked up my first pair, back when DPS was but an underground, word-of-mouth brand, and to this day I still ride my 2007 era Lotus 120s (Pures; but this was before they began building Hybrids). Jayson, who blogs here, has never looked back since he started riding his Wailer 112RPs—check out his comments.
Today, DPS has announced the Wailer 99 and Nina 99. The launch info is here. By all accounts this is a scaled-down Wailer 112RP but with added stiffness in the tail, resulting in a stronger profile for hardpack conditions. Check out Blister Gear’s early season review. Wildsnow has also been foaming a bit around the mouth. Needless to say, we’re stoked to get on them. Skis will probably arrive a week or two into December, so until then, here’s some vids & pics for the wet gear dreams.
