While I have a tendency to avoid Singing Pass (since as a splitter it is always heinous and a lot more work than skis) I thought folks might want to know what the current conditions are. My knowledge is from Dave Sarkany, who thoughtfully posted an MCR report Friday, January 23, 2010.
It seems the trees that were down and barricading the trail earlier in the season have now been removed. Some sections are wet and have thin snow, and he writes that the cross creeks on the trail are “nasty”. It sounds like the path has late spring conditions, with a lot of it being frozen and reminiscent of a luge track. So if you’re confident where those creek beds are, and aren’t afraid of speed on a thin trail, glide on down after your Musical Bumps session.
Or, if you’re like me and ride a splitboard, take the extra walk back up the Bumps and head out on WB terrain.

I can add to that: generally the trail is in good condition, with the alpine section from Cowboy to Oboe a pleasant ride. A few trees down are covered in snow or easily jibbed (snark!) or passed by above or below.
The three main creek crossings are truly nasty. The first is a straightline that handles two skis well enough. The second is a one-ski bridge with a sharp curve/wall on the other side … it defeated me (pic forthcoming on Fissile TR; I’ll add it here too). The third is a balance affair where you walk across sideways, tip to tail over the precipice. Then there’s a few step-overs once you get closer to the road.
That said, all three crossings can be easily passed by taking off one’s skis and climbing across.
Otherwise, besides the mank, the trail is in decent condition. Recent rain and rollercoaster freezing levels, however, are going to transform the bottom section into a luge run. Take a hit from the flask before continuing.

Love the creek shot, Tobias! We should do an “Ode to the Creek” photo essay. I have a few of my own that I could add, but yours is definitely the best

Indeed, great idea! I am sure the collective wealth of Whistler ragtags could toss up some creek mishap shots.
